Hydrocortisone

- The standard corticosteroid secreted
by adrenal cortex.
- It exerts an anti-inflammatory and
anti-pruritic effect.
- Capillary dilatation, intercellular
edema and tissue infiltration regress
- Capillary proliferation is suppressed.
- Anti-inflammatory activity reduces
both inflammation & the accompanied
exudation.
- Reduction of pruritis in the ano-rectal
area is also achieved. |

FRAMYCETINE (Soframycin,
Neomycin B) :
- Belongs to the
family of aminoglycoside antibiotics.
- Wide spectrum of activity against
pathogenic Staphylococci, Streptococci
E. Coli, Citrobacter, Shigella,
Salmonellas, Klebsielles, Enterobacter,
Serratia, etc
- Bacteriostatic and bactericidal
action by deterioration of the
reading of the genetic code -
causing a disturbance of the protein
synthesis (sub-unit 30S of ribosomes).
- Slightly absorbed by the digestive
tract avoiding undesired systemic
effects.

| DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR
USE : |

SEDIPROCT Suppositories
: |

- The anal region should be cleaned
thoroughly before using SEDIPROCT, which
is best applied after defecation.
- Unless otherwise prescribed by the
doctor, generally insert one suppository
daily high into the rectum.
- If symptoms are severe, insert one
suppository two to three times on the
first day.
- The consistency of suppositories that
have become softened by warmth should
be restored by immersion in cold water
before the covering is removed.

SEDIPROCT
Cream :
- The anal region should be cleaned
thoroughly before using SEDIPROCT, which
is best applied after defecation.
- Unless otherwise prescribed by the
doctor, generally apply twice daily.
- On the first day, for faster symptomatic
relief, apply up to four times.
- Smear a little cream (about the size
of a pea) around the anus and in the
anal ring with a finger and use the
finger-tip to overcome the resistance
of the sphincter.
- Protruding lumps should be thickly
smeared and carefully pressed back with
the finger.
- Finger used should be with short smoothed
fingernail. |

- Viral infections, primary bacterial
or fungal infections in the treatment
area.
- Secondary infections of the skin in
the absence of appropriate anti-infective
therapy.
- Known sensitivity to local anesthetics.
