For Children, Vidrop...

prevents development of rickets.
is a stabelized aqueous solution of Vitamin D3.

has a formulation that ensures high Vitamin D3 absorbability.

increases calcium absorption in breast-fedbabies.

Helps attaining optimal peak bone mass.

For Elderly People, Vidrop...
Increases calcium absorbance in elderly patients and postmenopausal females. (3)

Increases bone mineral density. (3)

Decreases susceptibility to fracture. (3)

Improves mobility and functional status

Is recommended in prevention and treatment of osteoporosis in elderly and peri-menpausal females. (3)

Is a stabilized aqueous solution of Vit D3. Its unique novel formulation ensures high absorbability. (4)

Dose of prevention and treatment of osteoporosis is 2 to 7 drops (200-700 IU) daily. (3)
Rickets:

Rickets is a very common disease in infants and children in Egypt. (5,6)

Causes of Rickets:
Prolonged breast-feeding (delayed weaning) (7,8,9)

  • Amount of Vitamin D in breast milk is poor. (10,11)
  • Maternal Vitamin D deficiency will consequently lead to infant's deficiency. (12)
  • Infant's direct supplementation with vitamin D is more efficacious than maternal supplementation. (13)
Inadequate diet. (8)
Slums. (8)
Wrapped up children. (14)
Dark skinned. (9)

Prematurity. (8)

Vitamin D Deficiency Could Lead To:
Skeletal bone deformities. (15)
Hypocalcemic seizures. (12)
Acute respiratory infections (47.26%), p<0.05 (16)
Enterities (29.76%), p<0.05 (16)
Acute respiratory infections and enterties are the most common causes of death in children under 5 years. (16)
ViDrop and Calcium Absorption:

Calcium absorption is directly related to ViDrop intake. (17)

Percent of calcium dose absorbed by intestinal epithelial tissue in vitamin D-deficient
and vitamin D-replete chickens. (17)

ViDrop has a unique novel formulation combining stability and high bioavailability. (4)

Recommended Daily Dose:
Age Dose
Pre-term infants 4-8 drops Daily
Full-term infants 4 drops
Children 4 drops
Adults 4 drops
Osteoporosis 7 drops for 3 weeks
then 4 drops
